Description

What is BART AKA Grindcore – 25hs private 1v1 coaching pack for Cheap?

Hey, my name is Bart.

I like to think of time spend on poker at the tables as making bb/hour (based on hands/hr and bb/100), while time spend on poker away from the tables as making bb/100/hour (ie if it takes you 100 hours to improve 1bb/100, you are making 0.01bb/100/hour away from the tables). Say you grind 40k hands/month, that’s ~500k hands/year. 1bb/100 is then worth 5000bb per year, so if you can gain 0.01bb/100 in an hour of studying, you’d be making 50bb/hour while studying (per year of grinding). For most people 50bb/hour is far more than they’d make at the tables. And even if you’d make a bit less, it’s a per-year earning so if you play more years it will pay back multiple times. So spending 100 hours to gain 1bb/100 is actually insanely +EV time investment, and “you’d be crazy” to be grinding instead of studying when you can improve at a 0.01bb/100/hour rate. Even at 0.002 (so needing 500 hours of pure studying for 1bb/100 gain) it’d be higher EV to study than to grind long term, as the best way to scale your income long term is to move up in stakes (making the bb in bb/100 worth more) and moving up stakes requires skill (ie, bb/100).

Most poker players earn a lower bb/100/hr while studying, due to being very inefficient in their process, and not really understanding the “why” of what they are looking at. They try to memorize solutions, or recognize patterns without really knowing the reasons behind them (resulting in for example not knowing how to exploit an opponent who is playing differently as you do not know why villain’s play is a mistake). This common style of studying has a lower bb/100/hr. The goal of the second coaching style is to increase your bb/100/hour when you study by yourself.

The first coaching style has a higher bb/100/hour during the coaching session itself, but your own bb/100/hour when studying by yourself later will be lower. Don’t get me wrong, this is the right choice for many (probably even most!) poker players, as it’s very common that people rather grind than study, or simply not spend many hours/week on poker.

The second coaching style will have lower bb/100/hour during the coaching session, but increase your own bb/100/hour when you then start studying by yourself (I can give very big homework assignments if you want to complement the coaching). This is easily the best choice if you are very dedicated or enjoy studying.

There are several things we can start with to get the ball rolling. One of the most efficient ones is a quick DB review of your most recent 100k 6max hands or so (can be less, 20k or so is enough but more will increase sample size for not just stats, but also for when I check out some actual hands you played with a filter which is useful for finding finer mistakes on rarer runouts/spots etc). We can also do a HH or video review just to get some spots to start talking about and then take it from ther

I charge €400/hr.
